CIRCLE OF WILLIAM HOGARTH 'The Broken Bed', after his 'Industry and Idleness' series of 12 engravings, depicting 'The Idle 'Prentice Returned from Sea and in a Garret with a Common Prostitute', 18th Century, oil on canvas, acquired by the present owner at Drewatts 15 Feb 2012, restored in 2012 by the Courtauld Institute (copy of technical analysis available to the purchaser), on display at the Museum of the Order of St John from 2012 to 2021, 25cms x 33.5cms, framed.
