MARC ESTHER OF GENEVE 18CT WHITE GOLD LADIES WRISTWATCH, 1979, the bezel set with 24 round brilliant cut diamonds of approximately 0.10 carats each, certificate stating a diamond weight of 2.31 carats in total, snake-link bracelet strap, the back-plate personally hand inscribed and dated by Jean-Marc, the clasp stamped '750', the strap length approximately 15cm / 6 inches, 48.4 grams, complete with box, receipt and email correspondence.
Marc Esther was founding name for ME Watchmaking Developments, which later emerged as the company name for Agenhor of Geneve, which made some of the best watches in the world. The name Marc Esther refers to the founders Jean-Marc Wiederrecht and Catherine Esther, who then became Catherine Wiederrecht. Agenhor is now internationally known watchmakers company making movements for many brands including Hermès and Fabergé.
